The primary function of this role is to support the company through the timely recording, management and payment of suppliers whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
The role reports directly to the Transactional Finance Manager, is part of the overall Group Financial Controlling team and works closely with procurement and other internal stakeholders.
Imagine:
This role is part of a small team responsible for various tasks relating to the Accounts Payable ledger. These include but are not limited to:
Prompt and accurate processing of purchase invoices and credit notes received either directly from suppliers or accessed via supplier portals, ensuring appropriate approvals where required.
Ensure timely posting and allocation of regular payments and reconciliation of supplier statements of account.
Assist with payment runs, month end ledger “cut off” procedures and the achievement of the associated deadlines.
Proactive recording of purchase ledger activities and payment queries/issues including regular maintenance of purchase ledger reports to enable accurate, timely and realistic cash forecasting.
Investigation of both internal and external supplier queries and responsible for coordinating the resolution of these in a professional manner.
Maintenance f the team’s e-archives, including the daily scanning and filing of purchase documents and correspondence with suppliers.

Here's what we're looking for:
Previous experience in purchase ledger and an understanding of company procedures and systems would be an advantage but not essential.
A good communicator combined with a positive, pragmatic and flexible attitude.
Able to prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines with a focus on quality and execution.
Bonus points:
Competent to an intermediate level in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
